This book started out as the book of a course that I had taught for ten years on "Environmental Thought". A proposal for a book was accepted by a publisher but by the time I finished the manuscript the course was no longer offered and, to be honest, the book falls between two "stools": it's part textbook and part screed. For those interested in the main theme, you'll only need to read chapters 1-6, and 15 and parts of 13 and 14. Any comments are welcome.
Please note that the conversion to pdf messed up most of the illustrations so I've provided them separately as jpegs until I can figure out how to preserve them as pdfs.
I should also point out that I have not sought permissions for the song quotations.
